I always wanted to draw my own Korra piece as she's my favorite Avatar! I finally got the chance when .Zines announced their Magical Girl Zine: PrisMagic! 

The zine was organized via colors of the rainbow, and I chose orange as it's my favorite color. I ran into the challenge of orange not usually being associated with Korra as she's from the Water Tribe and they wear more blues. I remembered early on in the series Korra was a seriously fierce firebender and it hit me. I wanted to do a version of Korra's continuing story in my piece where she's recovered, calm, collected, and firebending like a bad ass by a volcano. I'd like to think I did well, but in any case, I had so much fun experimenting with digitally rendering fire!
