Quasar Storm!
Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's has always been incredibly important to me, so I usually jump at the chance to make more public pieces. Originally, I wanted to do an intense piece for the Interstellar Creatives Zine, but that project restricted us to original characters only. Instead, I got the chance for the Chasing the Storm zine! The zine ended up being a digital release only that consisted of multiple fanworks from different media, and we ended up donating $45 to charity! It felt great to once again get out of my comfort zone whilst still in it with the content. However, the mediums and tasks I attempted were anything but comfortable. I used brushes I had never tried before on ClipStudio, techniques like facial planes and lighting, and painting a giant dragon! I also included a lot of details in each character in the corners, complete with intricate borders and designs that match each character. I ended up underestimating how much time my vision took to complete, but I in no way regret taking the time to create the heavily detailed, beautiful painting that came out as a result!
