Miku is a global icon, so when I was selected randomly for the Hiding in Your Wifi Miku Zine lottery I was ecstatic! I have always wanted to do a Miku piece, and the creative freedom the moderators gave us was exciting. I love roller-skating and as all Mikus are cannon, if I made Miku a roller-skating queen she'd be unstoppable. I had a lot of fun looking up references because I adore roller-skating, and it not only provided great inspiration, but excellent ideas for trying tricks of my own one day. I came across one trick that I had to have Miku do as she sang across the rink; balancing on one wheel! Designing her outfit with metallic accessories and bright, neon colors was even more fun because I could sneak my favorite color, orange, in there too.
