This was originally a piece I intended to practice some prop and character acting with. When Interstellar Creatives Alliance announced a zine about the depths of the ocean and the vast reaches of space, I knew I had to turn my practice into a fun interdimensional, magical space study observatory for my magic characters Wynn, Kiro, and Azami! 

The overall design started off extremely crude as I had never drawn an observatory, much less a telescope, before. It evolved from so much as I drew inspiration from Treasure Planet, actual NASA level telescopes, and Alice In Wonderland style furniture!
