Quasar Storm!

a 2 page spread piece I did for the digital Chasing the Storm fanzine I participated in and acted as the Art Moderator for! It was a unique experience with new challenges, but I wanted to really push myself to paint digitally and add in as many details as I could muster. My hand hurt afterwards, but I think it was definitely worth it!

Library Observatory

An original piece with my original characters Wynn, Azami, and Kiro. Kiro and Azami are hard at work learning magic while Wynn...naps off the stress of the latest lesson. I had so much fun creating their secret observatory entirely from scratch. I wanted it to reflect a magical almost liminal space where they are simultaneously flying through space, but also safe in a pocket dimensional area at the local library.

Volcanic Korra

I LOVE Avatar Korra. No offense to Aang, but she is my favorite Avatar. So when the team at .Zines announced a Magical Girls Zine I jumped at the chance to draw Korra. My color for the rainbow was orange, my favorite, so it was incredibly fun to come up with a firebending Korra that subverted expectations for her generally blue color scheme!
