I can't explain it, but one of my favorite Pokémon is Spinda.

Then I got this idea in my head to try my hand at a paper mixed-media piece of a garden of Spinda! No two Spinda spot patterns are alike, so I experimented with patterns, and painted a meadow on cardboard for them. After I sketched out each individually designed Spinda, I cut colored paper that matched their color pallets, and an immeasurable number of flowers from origami paper to complete the Spinda Meadow. 

The most challenging part was cutting out the tight spirals in each Spinda's eyes and ears as paper is prone to tearing, but it was worth all the pain of cutting because they turned out so cute!
